HOW TO PLAY SLUR | TRASH TALK TRIVIA

SLUR | Game Rules

OBJECTIVE OF THE GAME

The goal of SLUR Trash Talk Trivia is for players to guess the person who said the quote written on each card. Each card is worth either 10, 50, or 100 points. The game ends when the deck runs out OR when the chosen points limit is reached. Whichever player earns the highest amount of points wins the game.

- 1. Setting Points Limits -

This game is meant for 3 or more players. For the complete game players can play until the deck runs out of cards. For a shorter game, players can decide to play until a maximum number of points is reached (the limit needs to be set to increments of 500).

- 2. Starting the Game -

The owner of the deck plays first, or he or she can choose which player goes first. Once the first player is chosen, he or she must shuffle the deck before picking up the card on top of the deck.

- 3. Scoring Points -

The player with the deck READS the QUOTE on the selected card and then asks the player to his or her right who said the quote. Going right, the first player who guesses correctly then collects the card to add to their points. If no one guesses correctly, then the READER / First Player reads the NAME of the quoter out loud and keeps the card to add to his or her total points.

- 4. Requesting a Hint -

Each player has the right to request a hint of the CARD READER, however, in doing so he or she loses a turn. Once a HINT is requested the person who read the quote MUST give a hint on who the quoter is - a hint can include occupation, status, another quote, any hint except the actual name. Once given, the next player to the right can either guess the name or request another hint.

- 5. Playing the Deck -

Once a player guesses the correct name, or the turns are used and the deck holder / card reader collects his or her card, that player must give the deck to the player to his or her right to start the next card selection / quote reading.

- 6. Winning the Game -

The game ends when the deck runs out of cards or when the first player to reach the points limit reaches or exceeds the agreed points limit. Whichever player accumulates the highest amount of points first wins the game.
